What is Internship?
The Westover Hills Volunteer Internship is a semester-long, behind-the-scenes look at what we do in ministry at Westover Hills Church. If you think you
may be called to church ministry or are just interested in getting more involved, this internship offers weekly leadership lessons, Bible study time,
personal accountability, & means for you to grow as a leader & disciple of Jesus. Plus, it’s a great way to make meaningful relationships with other
students & young adults like you. When do we meet? I’m glad you asked! Check out meeting hours and dates below.
Each week may look a little different. Most of the time, during the Family Ministry internship, we’ll be working on different projects, like: planning services
& upcoming events, writing “Thank You Cards” for guests, working in various roles throughout the ministry during weekend services, cleaning various
rooms & areas, stacking chairs, calling students and inviting them to a service, updating our online database, setting up games & gathering supplies,
making copies, lifting & moving materials for events & services. For our Sports Ministries, we’ll be doing a lot of setup/teardown on the Sports Fields,
errands during these events, & ensuring these events run smoothly. For the Administration Team, there will be a lot of backend computer work (think
spreadsheets & software) that help the church run smoothly. In other words… there’s really no such thing as a “normal week” as an Intern.
If you are interested in serving as a volunteer intern at Westover Hills, then please take a moment to fill out this application in its entirety. This form will
give us the important contact information we need to reach you & let you know whether or not you will be a part of this semester’s internship. Thank you
so much for your interest!
